Your story sounds interesting, and I've heard that such an idea does sound appealing when mentioning Ordinary Joe to others. I think the problem of selling other people on the show is that for some viewers actually watching one actor play three different characters isn't as easy to keep the characters and their timelines separated as they were expecting. (I'm unsure how well the non-color tells work for green-red colorblind viewers, tbh.)
